An article on Hamptons.com provides a detailed summary of the presentation Nelson, Pope and Voorhis gave to the Southampton Village Board of Trustees. The Board is reported to be "confident" that the projected $6 million spent on the project will be "money well spent."

Winter 2008 LACA Meeting
An informal gathering provided a great opportunity to exchange information about the various projects related to Lake Agawam's Conservation. Chic Voorhis presented an initial draft of a study to be presented later in the year, he also reported on a pamphlet detailing recommended landscaping techniques.
Attendees also had a chance to discuss the issue of required permits for the removal of non-native species. Finally, catch basins along Hill Street were discussed.
Fall 2008 Meeting of LACA
Barbaralee Diamonstein and Carl Spielvogel graciously hosted the fall meeting of the Association at their home in NYC. In addition to discussing financing for lake projects, presentations were made by Mayor Epley and Chuck Scarborough.
